2. The project that I learned the most from was the self portrait. I learned how to do so many new things with drawing. I learned how to draw so many different face parts as well as howm uch they are spaced out. I also learned how to use shading correctly, but it still needs work. There is evidence of so many things that I learned how to do in this photo. The nose is something that I learned how to do in this photo. I also learned how to make it look more three-dimensional with the highlight in the hair. Another thing that I learned and that was drilled into us was to draw what you see, NOT what you remember.
3. In this photo we were learning how to use shading. We had previously drawn a few paintings with shading to prepare for this and get the hang of it. In this painting I did pretty good but I could have done better. The thing that we raelly learned from this drawing was that we have to not be afraid of the dark. Most of the drawings that I did my darkest gray was still pretty light. If you look at the bottom right or top left, you will see where I am trying to implement the darker colors. I definitely think that I implemented all of the techniques that we learned in earlier drawings and think this one turned out pretty well. I didn't do the transitions very well so it looks kind-of choppy.
4. The piece of work that did the least to show our artistic skills was the spray paint. First, you can really control the spray paint because it just goes everywhere. Not only that, but it also is runny and looks bad in places. Then to actually make the face, we just took photos of ourselves. We did edit the photo, but thats more of something that computer art should be doing. After that we took the photo and put in on a projector. We then traced that on to sheets of paper and cut out the lines we made. Although we made the frames, we just used hammer and saws to do that, which don't display any artistic ability.
